I knew I forgot to tell you something!
You should have all received a lovely little book about Walter the Whale last week! If your child hasn't relayed it to you, it is a gift from Elliott! It turns out, Elliott's mom is the author & illustrator! We couldn't be happier to receive such a lovely gesture. Merci Elliott et Kim!

Hi everyone,
I just have a few things to quickly communicate to you. We have just been informed that we have a second student with lice. Please make sure to check your child's head. We have done all the laundry we can do! Secondly, tomorrow is national PINK DAY. (There is also an International Day of Pink in April). Please have the students wear pink if possible. That's all folks! Good night! Bonjour!
Paperwork So you should all have received some paperwork yesterday about a student who was approached by a stranger on Honey Cr. You should also be receiving paperwork today about the fact that we have a student with lice in the classroom (we will do our best to tie back the girl's hair today!). You will also be receiving the report cards today. Please make sure to return the bottom slip along with the brown envelope so we can re-use them. This time around, interviews are not mandatory, but if you wish to have one please let us know and we can accomodate! Merci! Spirit Day: Friday Feb 22nd Please have students wear their House colour (purple) Read-a-thon: Thursday Feb 28 New Date! Hopefully this one sticks. L'océan We are now creating an ocean centre in the class. Anything you might have at home that you want to send in is welcome! Specifically, we are looking to use 2L pop bottles to make scuba diving air tanks. I'm hoping some of you have some:) Hi everyone, First of all HAPPY ICE DAY (Is that a thing?). I hope you all stay warm and safe, inside. I thought I would take a couple of minutes to let you know about next week. We have the RBC Read-a-thon on the 12th, Heart Pizza Day on Wednesday the 13th and Valentine's Day on the 14th. Pizza Day Mme B is taking the lead on making pizzas with the students. I told her that I would put out a list of ingredients for her and see if you were willing to contribute. Please comment below if you can provide any of the following: - English muffins (30ish) - Tomato paste (large jar or multiple small ones) - Shredded cheese (1 Large pack) - Veggies if you think your kids will want them Mme B was planning on bringing chicken frankfurters. Valentine's Day
Passing out cards takes up most of our day. In order for things to run smoothly I will request the following: 1) If your child can read the names of the students in the class then they are free to write their cards to each student (e.g., To: Alister, To: Alethea...). If your child is not yet able to read names then I would highly suggest that you write "To: Mon ami" on all the cards. It makes our lives so much easier! 2) We will have large envelopes for everyone in alphabetical order, so if you could send the cards in alphabetical order that would also help. 3) Due to allergies, we ask that there are no baked goods for the kids. Small candies with the cards are fine, but no cupcakes etc please. Thanks! Here are the students in the class: Alethea Alistair Andrew Ariya Armaan Austin Ayana Callan Cohen Cora Dave Elliott Evelyn Ewan Jaxson Johnny Lucas Mack May Mia Michaela Moss Sevi Vivian Wyn Zola |
