Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know about tomorrow. Not only is it Pumpkin Day but also Tribes Spirit Assembly Day. The kids are asked to wear our color house color - PURPLE. As for the pumpkin extravaganza, we will be de-seeding, carving and making pumpkin soup. I wanted to let you know the ingredients just in case. We'll be using canned pumpkin, onion, garlic, coconut milk and chicken stock. I believe everyone should be ok with that but let me know if there is an issue. That's it, have a good weekend! Bonjour à tous,
Just a quick note to let you know about some special events. This Friday Mme Miller and I have decided to run a sensory day using yucky halloween materials (cooked spaghetti, shaving cream etc). So please dress your kids in clothes that can be dirtied:) Next Friday the 26th is going to be Pumpkin Day. We are looking for a volunteer to help with that. Our plan is to make pumpkin soup among other things. The 26th is also Tribes Day so the kids are to be dressed in purple if possible. As for Halloween itself, students are allowed to dress in costumes for the parade which is during the middle of the day. We ask that students do NOT wear masks in accordance with school policy or any weapons. Please send costumes in the backpacks and we will get them dressed and undressed during the day. Lastly, we will be having Scientists in the School on November 19th. I will need 4-5 volunteers for that from 11-12:30. Please let me know if you're available. Payment for that should be online soon, if it's not already there. Don't forget about Nov 2nd being a PD Day! Mme Ellis Hello everyone,
Just a few reminders and things to note: 1) Milk and Pizza start this week. So if you ordered them don't forget that they will get pizza on Friday. 2) You should have received your child's photo and class photo. If you would like a retake that will be happening November 6th. 3) Thank you to everyone who sent in food items for the food drive. It ends on Friday so you still have a few days! 4) We have a new math teacher. Mme Germann was recently hired to teach the kindergartens in place of Mlle Pangos. So she should be with us until the end of the year. 5) Thank you to everyone who sent in their library books. We were still missing quite a few this week so I wrote quick notes in the communication books to remind you about them. If your child does not bring in his/her book we don't send them to the library. If you have lost a book and would like to pay for it please let me know. 6) Lastly, we are hoping to create a haunted house in the classroom over the next few weeks. We are looking for a large box of some kind to use. If you have one please let me know! Merci and have a great day! Melissa Well Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Last week was certainly a whirlwind of fun! The field trip went super well and the apple sauce on Friday was also a hit! I'm sure everyone was plenty exhausted when they got home:) Thanks once again to ALL the volunteers! We couldn't have done it without you! I just wanted to touch base mainly to show you the pictures. Please see the picture tab. In other news, I wanted to let you know that we have a student ECE with us twice a week until December. Her name is Emily Mercer Sawyer. She'll be running small group activities from time to time. Library is still on Day 5 which is now Wednesdays. Gym is on Day 1 (Thursdays) Reading buddies is on Day 3 (Mondays) C'est tout. Enjoy the rest of your weekend:) |
