There are many things to let you know about! First and foremost, the kids are loving the awesome weather (when it's not raining). Yesterday we spent many hours outside planting trees, collecting worms and getting a sunburn (at least I did!).
1. Jump Rope for Heart is on Friday during the 1st block. Please send in any forms if you have them. 2. Monday May 22 is a holiday - no school! 3. Friday May 26th we're doing pond plates. The cost is $14 and can be paid online a.s.a.p. If you are available to volunteer, please let me know. 4. JK orientation night is May 25th from 5:30-6:30 5. Family Fun Night is June 8. Our class is in charge of Disney related items for a basket that will be auctioned off. Merci to those who sent in items!! 6. PA Day on June 9 7. Arboretum Field Trip on June 16 8. End of Year Family picnic on June 23 I know. It's been a while! Here are a few updates:
1. Mme Miller had an emergency appendectomy yesterday. She will be recovering for a while, I'm not sure how long yet. Don't worry, I will send her all your best wishes! 2. Last I checked, there are a handful of people who have not paid the $5 for Christina Kingsbury's sessions. Student initials CM, EZ, HD, HDO, JD, NB, NV, SH. If you have paid online recently just write me a quick note in the communication book. 3. With the nicer weather upon us, we will be spending more time outdoors. I'm still toying with the idea of having an entire day outside in the near future, but I'm waiting to see when Mme Miller will be returning first. In the meantime, please make sure the kids are properly dressed with hats and sunscreen. We will make sure it's applied if you send it. 4. If you have little ones starting in September, we will be having an Orientation on May 25th from 5:30-6:30. We will also be hosting an Open House at the end of August so they can meet their teacher and see the class...more details to come on that. 5. In terms of the end of the year, we will be having one more field trip to the Arboretum on June 16th. If you would like to volunteer, please indicate so on the permission form that will be going home. Thanks! 6. Speaking of volunteers, we are having a volunteer appreciation breakfast for our wonderful volunteers on May 18th at 7:45. I am sending invites out, but in case I missed you, please let me know! Merci à tous! Mme Ellis |

I have 3 young kids at home, so I know exactly what you're going through! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MS MILLER... I have been working as an ECE for 18 years and have a young child at home. This is my 6th year working with UGDSB, I am excited for the school year to get started and getting to know everyone. Hope everyone had a great summer! Archives
