After a long wait the volunteer schedule is finally ready! I apologize for the delay with this, we just didn't get around to it very quickly:( Please check the volunteer calendar tab to see when you are scheduled. A BIG THANK YOU to Jen W for helping to set it up!
We were planning on starting in November. If you unable to do your slotted time on a regular basis, or would like to change times, please contact Jen at [email protected]. If something comes up, and you need to miss a day, please send me a quick email if possible at [email protected]. We decided to only have volunteers in the morning block and the afternoon block because the students are normally with M. Leduc during the middle block. Looking forward to having you all in the classroom!

We will be participating in the Scientists in the School program on Thursday November 6th, in the morning. The program that we will be doing is called "I can be a scientist". Become a working scientist! Dig for dinosaur bones and make a fossil as a paleontologist. Explore the weather as a meteorologist while making it rain in the classroom. Become an astronomer and discover the big dipper in our constellation tent. Use a lab coat and safety goggles to find the solution as a chemist in the lab! Make a beautiful fish print, examine ocean specimens and track killer whales as a marine biologist. The workshop cost is $8. You can send in money, or pay online. For this workshop, we will need 3 parent volunteers. Each parent will run a center. We will need you to be at school from 8:35 until 12. Please email me if you would like to volunteer for this event. Thanks so very much :) Bonjour à tous! I wanted to thank the last minute recruits on Thursday who came out to help with the apple fest! Your flexibility is much appreciated! This week we are working with pumpkins. Thursday is our pumpkin carving day and Friday is the Dance-a-thon. If anyone would like to help out on Thursday morning (8:50-10:30) we could use some help carving pumpkins. Please let me know. In preparation for the BIG day I would like to encourage everyone to send the kids in with basic costumes. That's to say please avoid sending in any accessories. The students will have the chance to change into their costumes during the 2nd block (11:15-12:55) and then they will participate in the Dance-a-thon. We plan to have the costumes all packed up for the end of the day. Finally, if anyone has a spare adult costume, please let me know! I'm still undecided. Please be advised that we have a case of head lice in the classroom. Girls should wear their hair up on Tuesday if possible.
You're invited to join me on Monday (if you're not too busy doing the family thing!). I will be at school by 2pm with a bunch of plants that I would like to plant in the kindergarten yard. I will take all the help I can get! I will also open up the classroom and the bikes if you would like to bring your kids:) Bring your own shovel. Merci:) This year, for birthday celebrations, we are doing a t-shirt craft. Students get to design their own t-shirts! If possible, please send in a blank white t-shirt anytime before their birthday that we can use. Merci!
Thank you to everyone who submitted their family photos! We are still missing a few. Please send them in as soon as possible. Merci beaucoup!
