So it's been a while since the milk program has been in effect. Turns out none of the students who ordered white milk are drinking very much. Most days we end up dumping most of the carton down the drain. From now on, I'll be sending home the cartons for you to use at home (unless for some reason your child really wants it that day). For those of you who aren't involved and want to be, the next session of pizza and milk will start sometime in January. Not surprisingly, chocolate milk drinkers do not have the same issues:) Please check the volunteer calendar tab to see the schedule for the parent volunteers. I'm not sure how many people are aware that it has been in effect for almost a month, but we have been missing some volunteers. Many people have notified me already if they couldn't make it, so thank you to those people. Again, if there is a problem and you need to change your availability, please email Jen Watt at [email protected]
Thanks for all the help! It's officially time to banish the toys. Please keep all lego men, figurines, dolls at home. They are causing too many problems!
We will be having a teddy bear picnic next week on Friday December 5th. Students will be asked to bring in a teddy bear to use for various activities. Students are also asked to wear their pyjamas just to be extra cute! We are looking for several volunteers that day, particularly in the morning. If you're available, please let us know:) The plan is to make binoculars for our bear hunt. Each student will need 2 tp rolls. Please send them in if you can!
Some of you may know Ollie le lapin, located next door in Mme Katsaounis/Mme Proude's classroom. He is an adorable rabbit that is looking to make new friends. Every weekend Ollie is available for loan. He is normally picked up (with all his supplies) on Fridays and dropped back of at school on Mondays. His social calendar is not as booked up as he would like so if you're interested in getting to know him, please contact Mme Katsaounis at [email protected]. |
