I just wanted to send out one last post for 2018 to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. Mme Miller and I were extremely touched by your incredibly generous gifts. Unfortunately we didn't have time to thank everyone individually but please know that we are very very grateful. And the kids will be too when we get to go shopping:)
We would like to wish you all a very Happy Holidays and all the best in the New Year! Madame Ellis and Madame Miller

Hi everyone,
I wanted to thank everyone for attending the holiday concert last week. It went really well and the kids were very excited to sing! You should all have access to the videos via google photos. The week before the holidays is typically quite busy, but we are trying our best to keep things normal in our class. I thought I would clarify that the Holiday Concerts that are listed for this week are for Grades 1-8 students and will not have kindergarteners performing. Snowman Run Wednesday Dec 19th. Please send in a reusable mug if possible with your child's name on it. We will be doing the run periods 5-6 (end of the day). Students will then be given hot chocolate. Please let me know if you would like to join us. We could certainly use some extra hands. Pyjama Day - again! The kindergarten team has decided to make Friday a Pyjama Day again. We just needed more cuteness before the holidays. Cards for Seniors The students have been working hard making really cute holiday cards. They have decided to offer them to St Joseph's Health Care Centre for seniors. Dinosaurs In the new year the students have voted on creating a Dinosaur Museum. Please feel free to send in anything you might have (I actually don't have much for dinosaurs so we'll see how this goes!) Happy Holidays to everyone! We hope you have a wonderful time and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year! We have a fun week lined up! Pancake/pyjama day on Wednesday and the Museum trip on Friday! The kids are pretty excited! Just a couple of things to relay. 1) As I mentioned to many of you, our math teacher, Mme Germann, will be away for at least the month of December. 2) We have been asked to take in a former student in the afternoons with special needs (down syndrome). I've spoken to the students about how to have compassion and patience with others but anything you can add at home will certainly help. 3) Pizza will be delivered on Thursday instead of Friday in lieu of the field trip. 4) If you have any small boxes at home (smaller than a shoe box), we could use them for our Santa's workshop. The students have many presents to make and wrap! C'est tout. Have a great rest of the week! M |

I have 3 young kids at home, so I know exactly what you're going through! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MS MILLER... I have been working as an ECE for 18 years and have a young child at home. This is my 6th year working with UGDSB, I am excited for the school year to get started and getting to know everyone. Hope everyone had a great summer! Archives
