The kids were busy last week helping to put this project together. I think it turned out super beau! Merci a tous! My neighbor did all the sewing for us - so I can't take the credit for that:)
I think Beatrice was quite happy. A little something for her to remember us by.

Wednesday looks nice, but Thursday does not. So we will be changing the water activities to Wednesday (tomorrow!). Please send in extra clothes if you want...if not, I'm sure they'll dry eventually:)
Melissa It's hard to believe, but we made it to the end of the year! Mme Miller and I would like to thank each and every one of you for being so supportive this year. It has truly been amazing to have such a wonderful community of parents and grandparents whom we can rely on. Thank you so much!
There are a few things going on next week that you need to know: 1. Tye Dye shirt on Tuesday! Please make sure you have sent in either a white t-shirt or $4 towards the purchase of a white t-shirt. The kids will likely get dye on them so please make sure they are not wearing any good clothing on Tuesday. 2. Pond plates are in! They're amazing! Due to their fragile nature, we will be sending them home on Tuesday along with they spare clothes and blankets. Please watch for them when the kids get home. 3. Thursday is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! We were hoping (weather permitting) to do some water activities outside. So please make sure the students have a dry shirt to change into should they need to. We will organize the activities, there is no need to send anything else in (e.g., no water guns please!). Mme Miller and I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy summer! The kids have worked extremely hard this year and I'm sure they are looking forward to a nice break. Enjoy your summer! Mme Ellis Just so everyone knows, we have changed the time of the trip for today (Wednesday) due to the inclement weather forecast. Rather than going all day, we decided to just go in the afternoon. If it is raining, we will do some indoor activities instead of the actual pond.
Ahhh! What a lovely week we are having! Forms went home yesterday for a field trip to the Arboretum on June 10th. I would like to mention that this trip is being covered by an anonymous donor! Our donor has offered to pay for our entire class. So incredibly nice! It will be our last trip. Let's hope it's a good one:)

A little bit about Mme EllisI have worked in Guelph for 8 years and have been teaching for 12 years. It is my 6th year at John McCrae and I love it! I have 3 young kids at home, so I know exactly what you're going through! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MS MILLER... I have been working as an ECE for 18 years and have a young child at home. This is my 6th year working with UGDSB, I am excited for the school year to get started and getting to know everyone. Hope everyone had a great summer! Archives
