We are celebrating Family Literacy Day on Wednesday, January 27th by inviting parents and grandparents to come into our class to share a favourite story, poem or song with our students (in English or French). If you are available and interested in joining us, please comment on this post or write in your child's communication book. We will also be having a pyjama day on this day.
Another resource I'd like to share with you is below. This "Treasure Chest" was created to help non-French families with children in French Immersion.

A little bit about Mme EllisI have worked in Guelph for 8 years and have been teaching for 12 years. It is my 6th year at John McCrae and I love it! I have 3 young kids at home, so I know exactly what you're going through! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MS MILLER... I have been working as an ECE for 18 years and have a young child at home. This is my 6th year working with UGDSB, I am excited for the school year to get started and getting to know everyone. Hope everyone had a great summer! Archives
